  • Overview

    Despite the fact that many patients on dialysis suffer from chronic kidney disease-associated pruritus, or CKD-aP, a condition that significantly diminishes their quality of life, it remains both underreported and underdiagnosed. Tune in to hear patients with CKD-aP discuss their personal experiences before and after treatment with difelikefalin, a new FDA-approved therapy.

    • Evaluate the impact on the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD)-associated pruritus before and after treatment based on actual patient experiences
    • Develop evidence-based treatment strategies to improve the quality of life for patients with CKD-associated pruritus
    • Set appropriate kappa-opioid receptor agonist treatment expectations for patients with CKD-associated pruritus

    This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of nephrologists, dermatologists, nephrology nurses and dialysis nurses.
